La Savonnière du Moulin 'donkey milk' Shaving Soap
G'day SRP
Has anybody tried the La Savonnière du Moulin 'donkey milk' shaving soap as the US call this the 'Ass Milk', I'm told the lather is incredible very rich and creamy, the slickness is somewhere between fantastic and great and the post shave feel somewhere fantastic which I'm unable to prove. This soap comes in a 100g size hard puck see picture below and comes in two different scent, normal and unscented shaving soap and they last a very long time because I'm thinking about buying some in my Den.

Speedy,
I tried the soap couple years back. It's a quality soap overall. Unfortunately, it also gave a little burn — maybe something in there didn't work for my ultra-sensitive skin — so I stopped using it. On the other hand, it might be a big hit for you.

I went ahead and bought it from the English Shaving Company in UK for 99p International shipping delivered to Australia, I had to choose two soaps so I don't have to pay full shipping cost for one soap I'm looking forward to have a crack at this donkey milk shaving soap soon.

Good luck with the soap.
Personally, I think it is a very good soap, but not as moisturizing as a few other artisanal ones and I experienced a slight irritation to the Tempete version, but the original formula was just fine.Laughter, Love, & Shaving

Arrived today. Not sure about the ingredients list, but I'll say, this is one of my favorite soaps. Been a while since I used up the last one, probably 2 years already. Gonna give this a go these days, see if anything is different. As the time passes, so we learn.

I love the stuff, full rich lather, for me, wonderful on the face, not strong in the scent department, rather a clean, fresh natural soap smell, top of the line stuff IMO.
For reference, it's like the Klar Seifen, without the wonderful scent....the "Donkey" is a have to have, have to try soap AFAIC.....

Thanked: 1It's an alright soap for me. It works nicely but it's not my best. Then again I also have an ultra sensitive skin, I'm sure this soap is a great performer for others.

It's one of my top five soaps. Outstanding performance. I agree with Phrank in it's performance reminds me somewhat of Klar Seifen, only with an added kick of donkey milk.
