    Default Grooming Dept

I do not know anything about it, but the composition itself has made me curious a lot.
This young artisan, Mohammad, is present on various social as well as on the site of reference.
    https://www.groomingdept.com/

Both in packaging and in composition, may seem like simple soaps.
But by analyzing individual components and evaluating synergic interaction, I'm convinced that elegance and confidence are what they see.

    Bonum Mane
Refreshing blend of Lemongrass, Lavender, Mandarin, Geranium, Ylang Ylang, Juniper Berry, Patchouli Essential Oils and a hint of clean musk.
    Clarus
Unscented vegan shaving soap. Made only with high quality oils, Kokum Butter and Cupuacu butter.
    Elan
Blend of Cypress, Juniper Berry, Cardamom, Coriander and Patchouli Essential oils. A spicy, warm Fougère of sorts!
    Lavender
The scent on the Lavender Vegan Shaving Soap is made of various Lavender Essential oils and Bulgarian Lavender absolute.
    Lime
We blended few Lime essentials oils to create the fragrance for our Lime Vegan Shaving Soap. The lime scent is intensely fresh, on the tart side!
    Patchouli
Our Patchouli Vegan Shaving Soap doesn't smell like a the dirty Patchouli associated with a past era!
This Patchouli is woody blend of light and dark Patchouli essential oils, Patchouli Flower, Geranium and Ylang Ylang with a hint of Grapefruit.
    Vetiver Nobile
Only two fragrance notes are in our Vetiver Vegan Shaving Soap! Haitian Vetiver and Grapefruit Essential oils.
The Vetiver is resinous, earthy, slightly smoky and dark. The Grapefruit adds sparkle and liveliness.

The INCI formulation is the same to all soaps, except for the fragrance where it is present:
    Soy Wax,
    Water,
    Glycerin,
    Coconut Milk,
    Potassium Hydroxide,
    Castor Oil,
    Kokum Butter,
    Shea Butter,
    Fragrance ,
    Hydrolyzed Oat Protein,
    Sucrose Cocoate,
    High Oleic Safflower Oil,
    Cupuacu Butter,
    Jojoba Oil,
    Babassu Oil,
    Acacia Senegal Gum,
    Rice Bran Oil,
    Grapeseed Oil,
    Sodium Hydroxide,
    Kaolin Clay,
    Allantoin,
    Sodium Lactate,
    Sodium Citrate,
    Xanthan Gum,
    Calendula Officinalis Extract

As I said in the opening ...
    • the choice of vegetable oils, butter and wax about their complementarity
    • the use of natural gels and thickeners
    • the presence of proteins and clay
    • pH and rheology control with technically advanced agents
    • the two active ingredients with decongestant and soothing action
... I was convinced of the technical capabilities of the formulator.
Now, it remains to be seen how much practice can faithfully express the theory.

My Grooming Dept experience was slightly different. I liked the shave, but did not enjoy the scent of my Credence. Maybe it was the duck fat, I'm not sure. But hey, if everyone enjoyed the same things, there would only be a need for one soap. And really, what fun would that be?
