I actually have a shave stick, one from Holland De Verguild Hand. I love the scent and also that it's been made for almost 500 years. So I do ponder how some of the so called Dutch Masters might have used it too. Unfortunately I've become accustomed to better later than I ever can get from a shave stick. I was hoping to get a cream like Castle Forbes and apply this to my travel brush and face lather.

You can always put a cream in a small container for travel. I was introduced to Castle Forbes Lime when Badgister included a sample of it in a little <1" diameter screw top container with a razor I bought from him. Even that little amount was good for 3 shaves.

Yes, I've considered this. Probably no issue traveling domestically, but international travel can be interesting if it is not labeled from the manufacturer.

Thanked: 3226Yea, I have/had that stick too and the lather was excellent. If the lather from a shave stick is lacking it could possibly user fault.
I have CF shave cream also and I would not necessarily use it over any of the shave sticks in the above vids. I get similarly good results from all of them.

C&S come in travel sizes, Penhalgion's also come smaller tubes. T&F come in sealed sample packets. Give some websites a visit--there are a lot of options.

Thanked: 171Shaving soaps with travel size containers
Careful with the 50 ml jar. Unless you use a small brush you may not like it as the opening of the jar is quite small.
If you check the MdC website and take a look at the picture, you may note that the inner width of the 50 ml jar is only about half of the regular jar, which makes loading the brush challenging.

I'm not too keen with glass containers for traveling anyway!
