Thread: Shannon's Soaps

Has anybody had any experiences with Shannon's Soaps? It is just recently that I noticed them being carried by Straight Razor Designs. Since I am in NE Ohio and the soaps are from Cleveland, I'd love to support a local establishment for my shaving needs, much like I support SRD for my supplies.

I specifically am interested in the Valley Parkway scent. I have driven that very road end to end many times over the past 27 years.

So, how would you rate Shannon's Soaps?

I do plan to order some in a few weeks. But my SR shaving experiences are limited to just a few soaps and creams. I've only used MWF, TOBS soap and cream, Esbjerg cream, and some stuff as part of a gift set from Amazon by The Shaving Factory. And the latter I think is repackaged Derby soap. So...I have somewhat limited experiences compared to our SR veterans here.

Shannon's soaps are excellent soaps. They are easy to lather, and produce a thick, creamy lather with plenty of cushion and glide, and they have a very nice post shave feel. I have only used Silk Pajamas and Woodlands and enjoy both scents. I have no idea about Valley Parkway scent, but since they are a quality product, I expect that you'd enjoy it since you are from Ohio. Shannon's bath soaps are also terrific. Shannon and her husband provide excellent customer service.

I have a tub from last years meet.
Its a great soap, I just don't care much for tropical, fruity, scents that much. (City of champions)
But I do like their (Woodland Frost) scent
Lots of cushion.
Very thick lather.
Great post shave.
All natural ingredients.
