Default Wholly Kaw -- how's it working for you?

I have been reading about Wholly Kaw soaps recently and wondered what experience anyone has had?

I tend to prefer tallow-based soaps so that is likely what I'd get.

I really like simple-to-lather soaps that are not super fussy about hydration. I face lather and really have little patience (esp on week days) for soaps that take a long time to pick up the product in the first place, then bowl lather for a couple minutes, then apply to the face.

So -- those of you with WK experience -- sound like a good low-maintenance soap for me?

I love the stuff, it's one of my favs. From what I've tried the scent was on the light side, but that's just fine for me. Performance was really good. I face lathered and bowl lathered, both were good.

I got the Wholly Kaw Bacon Inter Alia in a lot that I bought for another soap. Smells like a pancake breakfast, not really my thing. Send me a PM if you want it, it's all yours.

I'm slowly working my way through one of their sampler packs. The 1st one I tried, vegetarian Fougere Bouquet, was one of the slickest, most luxurious and moisturizing croaps I've ever tried. Easy to lather and with a heavenly scent too. Right now I'm on Man from Mayfair/Donkey Milk, and it's nice too-kind of a clean, light barbershop scent.

From what I've tried so far (and I keep sticking my sniffer in the other sample jars), I'm betting I will love them all. They are rapidly gaining an excellent and well-deserved reputation.

I just looked and saw the sample packs on the Wholly Kaw website. Didn't realize they had these!

How did you pick the vegan ones over the tallow?

I love soaps with donkey milk, which the special edition soaps and King of Oud contain--fantastic performers. I've been really enjoying the sent of King of Oud, and it definitely isn't on the light side. Highly recommended.

Actually the vegan one came in another sample pack I got from West Coast Shaving. The sampler I got from their website contains mostly tallow soaps IIRC. I'm a tallow fan, too, but that vegan soap was one of the best I've ever tried!

Did you get tallow or vegan?

I see the vegan King of Our is on sale -- great price! I really like Our as a scent myself so this could be a great next soap for me to try.
