Goat Milk Shaving Soap
At the hardware store today I picked up some interesting soap I've never heard of. Goat Milk Soap. I attached a picture of this semi-local made soap (made by the Daughter of the store) and I will shave using it tonight and report back. Smells nice, light fragrance. Very soft texture soap and I can cut it with a butter knife.

Good luck!
I have not heard of goat soap being good shave soap.
Let us know how it performs. If you don't care where you are, you are not lost.

Probably better as a bath soap than shaving... or washing goats.. LOL Anyway, it had difficulty in getting any kind of lather. Of course we have hard water, but it seemed to lack certain ingredients that allow the razor to glide and the lather to form. Once I got one side of the face "sort of" covered and went to the other side, before I got done, any soap bubbles "foam" had dissipated. Washed it off and shaved with Geo F. Trumper's almond shave cream. Fragrance wasn't bad, but was lacking as a shave soap. I'll have ot research a bit and see what it is that gives shave soap the glide and lather properties and pass it on to the gal. Perhaps she can make it with almond extract as well and smell a bit better.

Thanked: 7A goats milk soap made here in South Africa, Wriggly Tin, is one of my absolute favourite soaps.
Makes a stable creamy lather.

I've used the Wriggly Tin Goats Milk soap and it performs admirably.
Ingredients:
KEY INGREDIENTS – GOATS MILK SHAVING SOAP:
Bentonite Clay: natural detoxifyer, increases lather in soap.
Shea Butter: protects against skin dryness and accelerates healing of superficial wounds and irritations. It has a slight photo-protective action and is rich in unsaturated fatty acids and Vitamin E.
Ingredients: Raw Goat's Milk, Saponified Vegetable Oils (Avocado Oil, Hemp Oil, Castor Oil, Coconut Oil, Shea Butter), Stearic Acid (derived from coconuts), Bentonite Clay, Essential Oils.
