I want to try one of the limited edition MDC soaps but the shipping cost for one is ridiculous.Buying 3-4 lowers the cost per jar substantially.
Was wondering if anyone would be interested in doing a group buy from MDC to cut down on shipping costs.

I'm in the Northeast so in order for this to make the most scents (< pun intended badum bum) $ wise would be cheapest if you are too.
Anywhere here in the Soaps & Creams forum, should be good. You can also start a thread, "MdC Group Buy" but be aware of large quantities before Customs slap an import tax.
I'm good on MdC for a while, the soaps last long time. I agree, shipping is expensive via a courier but if you get 2-3 or more jars it makes it more cost effective.
    Cheers!

I love Martin de Candre, but I have a large jar that I'm pretty sure is going to outlive me. It seems like it grows back after I use it lather and store it for a few days open.

Onimaru55- With all do respect, that's not realistic. How is he going to know if there is enough interest in a particular GB?
Once that's established, that's fine they can communicate over PM.

Im a bit up in the air about this group buying thing. It can be a great thing and it can also cause lots of issues.

BTW, the MDC im getting for christmas is wrapped up under the tree. Hope one of my pucks is a magic growing puck too.

If you read the rule you will see the reasoning behind it.

This sort of thing is done in PM's by friends who trust one another.
If it is solicited on the open forum and things go wrong, the complaints will be on the open forum.
Something which does not bode well, I am afraid.

Group buys have been done in the past in the forum however they must be officially sanctioned by management and are organized and controlled by the staff only. We have had at least one razor and a brush over the years.

Otherwise it has to be kept among yourselves via PM, no exceptions.
