Thanked: 38AoS lemon puck
I know, I know, why would you buy AoS puck you say? Well, I was bored and in the mall.
I don’t know if they have changed their formula recently but I was actually pleasantly surprised of how well this performed. After only a handful of swirls I was able to get a decent amount of fluff. I always have a hard time lathering up the puck soaps. I can get it done but it comes with effort. This puck lathered up quicker than my Nuavia and is on par with other soft cream soaps. Klar, Crabtree & Evylen, DR Harris are all pucks that take me time to whip up.
The cusion and glide we’re nice and this puck put up a decent 3 pass shave. It also holds up well throughout the shave. This pic below is after my third pass.
I probably had enough for two more passes.
If your worried about scent being too strong, you don’t have to. This was the lemon essential oil and the scent is very week and doesn’t even smell like lemons at all. Is it worth $30? That is a hard sell when there are so many awesome soaps out there that are half the price. You can pick up two tubs of Barrister Seville for the price of this puck. However, I would put this ahead of Klar which is priced similar. Actually, I would list this as the best puck soap that I have tried.Last edited by Blamo; 04-07-2018 at 04:25 PM.

It's nice to know that their formula has improved. I still have pucks of their vintage formula in each scent, made by Valobra, and they are outstanding. I wonder who is making this current formulation?

I have had the AOS Essential Lemon creme for a long time.
Still smells lemony and performs great with just a bit of product.
I think on my 'buy again' list.

Thanked: 38Yeah...I have their sandalwood in the cream that I have in a Klar tin that I use when I travel. Great to have something that lathers up easily when your in a hotel away from all your gear. I can easily get all the soap I need by what’s on the brush lathering directly on my face. No need to travel with a scuttle or mug.
Well, this was only my first shave with this puck. All my other pucks ended up in the garbage or turned into shower soap.Brandon- horses have the temperament of a house cat...a 1,200 pound, frightened cat, with a brain the size of a piece of bubble gum.

The Valobra-made vintage is even better. Those pucks do not have the graphics inside an oval.

I've never had a problem with performance from their soaps or aftershaves. I like the fact that I can actually walk into a brick and mortar store, smell the product, and buy it. The problem I have with AoS is the price and the useless sales staff.
