    Default MDC scent

Fellas, I recently received a jar of the Martin de Candre original scent soap and they threw in a couple of soap sample squares (classy move) in the box. One was labeled Fougere and the other was labeled Meil. My question, is the Fougere scent on this soap exactly what the Fougere scented shave soap smells like? Or are the scents between soap and shave soap different?

It's been a while since I've used their hand soap sample, but I remember that I didn't think the scents were much alike. I find the shave soap to be a very pleasant fougére, whereas I remember the hand soap to be a stronger, darker scented fougére that I didn't really care for.

Agree with Richard, I find the scents much different, the Fougere shave soap is superb, that earthy Fern/lavender smell with a nice note of somewhat sweetness threaded right through the middle, I find you have to look for it to find it....the Fougere inhabits my Top 3, and depending on the mood is either 1, 2 or 3! I have the Rose and the Argumes as well. To me, they are lightly-scented as compared to the original scent. I enjoy all of them as to my mood. Things will get lighter as it gets hotter!

Thanks, I really didn’t like the hand soap Fougere smell much either. I was kind of hoping that the soap smell was the same scent of their shave soap so I could save some money. If the shave soap Fougere smells like this, there is no way I would buy any.

    Everyone's smeller is different.

I did not prefer the Fougere, myself. TBH, I might likely only continue with the original as it is all gone...In fact, I know I will!
