Thanked: 38A SAD story
About a month ago I decided to take stock and look at what I have in the cabinet. A jar of Pannacreme Nuavia Verde, some Mitchell’s wool fat, some DR Harris, a couple Mr Fines, some Barrister & Mann Latha, I am out of the Seville. Going to have to do something about that. Let’s see, I have a puck of the Klar lemongrass, and a tub of AoS Sandalwood cream.
I figured that I would look into getting a jar of the Martin de Candre and fired up the computer. Let’s see, wow, pretty expensive stuff but if I get 2 I can give one as a gift. Ordered it up.
The next day I did some more searching to see what Pannacreme was up to and saw that they came out with a new scent, “Nera”. Interesting, but it looks like they are all sold out. Oh well, I went ahead and signed up my email to get notified whenever any new stock came in. I figured they would let me know in about 3 or 4 months that they got some in.
4 days later, bam...got the email that the Nuavia Nera was in. Went to the site and added it to my cart but did some other looking. What’s this, Barrister & Mann Seville at a good price and if I am going to pay shipping, might as well get it. Ordered up.
A week later I was poking around the web and saw a shave store in CA is going out of business and they are discounting their merchandise. I went there and saw that they had some Castle Forbes at 25% off. Always wanted to try it and, after all, didn’t Obie say that this was the standard that all other soaps are measured? Added to the cart. But wait, they also have some Tobac. I have always wanted to try Tobac and if I am going to pay shipping, might as well get it. The Forbes and Tobac arrived yesterday and here I am...wondering what the hell just happened? I just ordered 5 soaps, 6 if you count the extra jar of MdC that I bought as a gift (that I probably will keep) in less than a month.
My name is Blamo, and I have Soap Acquisition Disorder. It has been one week since I last ordered soap.Brandon- horses have the temperament of a house cat...a 1,200 pound, frightened cat, with a brain the size of a piece of bubble gum.

Sounds like it is indeed time for mandatory Straight Razor Disorders Anonymous.
With that said, if it's supposed to be Anonymous----

why is it that the first thing they want you to do is tell everyone your nameOur house is as Neil left it- an Aladdins cave of 'stuff'.

I had the same disorder and now have not purchased any soap or splash in the last 18 months and still have enough to more than likely last me the rest of my life and I only have maybe two more razors to get then going to start thinning the herd and get down to what I like.

This is completely normal the way I see it.
Look in your refrigerator and in your cabinets. Probably stocked with a lot of wonderful, completely different foods. You don't eat the same food every time you sit down at the table.
Variety is the spice of life....why be on a bland diet.
Wait until you fall down the rabbit hole and start doing this with razors.

Perfectly normal! But if you're having second thoughts, just send some to me lol.
