Default First Shave With MDC Soap.

This morning I used Martin De Candre Soap for the first time. I also used for the very first time my new Thater 4125/6 B. I shaved with Recently purchased NOS Puma 5/8 Razor.

First the soap. It truly is a very nice Soap. A luxury item for sure. I bought the original scent and it’s really nice but not overpowering. I loaded the brush and lathered in a bowl which I have only done one other time and that was with TOBS cream. The lather worked up quickly and the soap is nice and slick. I think the best thing about the soap is that it’s a really good value if it lasts as long as people say. I’ll be rotating Tabac, Castle Forbes, And one maybe two others so I’ll probably use the MDC twice a week at the most.

The new Thater 4125/6. This is a BIG BRUSH 35mm Bulb knot. It is so dang soft on my face. Love it and the size 4 in the same brush I bought a couple weeks ago.

The NOS Puma gave me a really nice smooth shave. It arrived DEFINITELY NOT SHAVE READY. These are the first new razors I have bought since 1995. The first test shave didn’t quite pass so I worked on it some more yesterday and it was easily passing the HHT.

All in all a very nice shave.

Congratulations and those are some lovely items in your shave, especially, that large Thater. Just be careful as once you get used to big brushes, there is no going back, which, unfortunately, will be expensive if you want more of them.

Boy! If you load a 35mm with MDC, you can lather the whole neighborhood!

I’m already addicted to a big brush. I had purchased my first Thater about a month ago a 4125/4 B 30mm and man I love it. It feels better with each shave and has not shed one single hair. Mainly I bought the 4125/6 B because I read that the size six 35mm was being discontinued. I was just going to put it away but I couldn’t stand i. I had to try that brush. YES that big brush will stir up some lather. I used a bowl today. I have to get used to using a bowl. In the future I won’t use the 35mm with the Martin De Candre because it will load too much product.
