Thanked: 20Rotating
Just wondering how many guys follow a a strict rotation of their soaps or creams every day and how many just choose whatever strikes their fancy?

Thanked: 556I have a 7 day rotation I use at home and another I keep at the cottage. These sets are stored in 7-razor rolls. The rolls contain the razors I like the best at each place. I also have several razors outside the rolls at each location.
WHen I choose a razor, I open the drawer, unroll the roll, look at the other razors and then choose which one to use according to whatever strikes my fancy. I avoid choosing a razor I’ve used recently and almost always pick one I’ve recently honed or done some restoration work on.David

Thanked: 3226It's whatever strikes my fancy as far as what soap/cream, razor or brush I will use on any given day.

Gentlemen,
I use whatever soap or cream that strikes my fancy for the day. The same with my razors and brushes. Years ago I did rotate my soaps and creams, when I had a bounty of brands lining up the shelf. Since I have reduced my products to just a few, I grab whatever feels right for the moment.

Fancy striker here. Speick, Tabac, CF Lime, XPEC, or MWF. However, the last one sees very little use owing to its sub-par performance.

@DZEC -- Very little signs of life over here until my 2 morning coffees are consumed. I feel your pain!

Thanked: 38I have two Green Mountain soaps and MWF I religiously rotate through. I have a jar of B&M Lavanille I use a few times a year. That's it. I'll be buying another Sampson's All Natural soap and balm soon, so that'll make 4 in the rotation. Probably one too many...

My main soap rotation is :
All MDC scents
All Castle Forbes scents.
A few others in the mix :
Acca Kappa : White Moss
Haslinger : Seaweed
D.R. Harris : Windsor
Mickey Lee : Grand Havanna and Reunion
Proraso : Cypress & Vetyver, Wood & Spice and Lime, they come packaged in a big barbers pack.
I've tried boatloads of soap over the years and these are the chosen few that have enough merit to be keepers.

I just pick what strikes my fancy from about 15 soaps I have nearby. Probably another dozen in storage I'll pull out every now and then.
