Thanked: 3225RR Tuscan Oud
I had a sample included with a razor I bought from a member of another forum. Just a quick observation on this soap after using it for the first time. Like the other RR shave soaps I have used, it was more than adequate to allow a close comfortable 4 pass shave. It lathers easily with good slickness. I could not ask for more from a moderately/reasonably priced shave soap.
The scent which is advertised to be similar to Ton Ford Tuscan Leather is there with authourity. It reminds me of walking past the cosmetics counter of a large department store if you know what I mean. I enjoy strong pleasant scents so it suits me just fine. I just may have to order a tub of it and it's matching aftershave.

Thanked: 292I do not know about the RR soap you mentioned, but I have a tub of Oleo Soapworks new City Back of the Yards that is also supposed to be based on TF Tuscan Leather. I have not smelled the perfume/cologne on which it is based, so I cannot comment on scent accuracy. If you like the RR scent, I suspect you would enjoy the Oleo interpretation as well. It is mid strong. Vida's Canard (duck fat) soap base is one of the best soaps out there, but is priced slightly higher than RR.

I have this soap as well, and quite enjoy the aroma as well as it's other positive attributes.
And I agree Ray, the Oleo New City is close to this, but a bit more fruity aroma in my opinion. I can gather a bit of raspberry from it. Mine is not the duck fat line, but it is one of my favorites for sure.Look sharp and smell nice for the ladies.~~~Benz
