    I really hate buying a large plastic jar each time I get a new soap. Prefer pucks I can drop in a mug

    Mama Bears and Mike's natural soaps offer pucks as well.

    These are some very nice soaps that come in puck form:
    * Mystic Water
    * Mike's (rectangular shape)
    * Haslinger (smaller than average)
    * Tabac
    * Mitchell's Wool Fat
    * Savon du Moulin (larger/taller than average)

    There are quite a few more, but these were the ones I liked best.

    I’m a total Barrister And Mann fan. They used to sell theirs in pucks that were simply wrapped in parchment. I preferred them that way for the same reason. I end up with empty packaging too. I immediately scrape it out into its own mug. I wish I had the choice.

    A lot of the newer artisan soaps are quite soft, they could be considered croaps, or even harder creams. Some of the softer ones are: Chiseled Face, CRSW Glide, Declaration Grooming Bison tallow, Lisa's Natural new sheep milk formula, The Sudsy Soapery, Ariana and Evans new Goat milk soaps, Barrister and Mann Reserve and Wholly Kaw are also fairly soft. With these, you can scoop out what you need into a mug and make your lather.

    Although not as hard as a triple milled soap, there are several firm soaps that could be transferred to a mug. They include: Barrister and Mann Glissant, CRSW Select, Declaration Grooming new Icarus base, Noble Otter, and Oleo Soapworks Canard base.

    Default Size Counts

    I don't want to be a party-pooper (so don't, JB!), but we seem to be putting the cart before the horse. That is, we don't know the size of the OP's mug. It's been my observation that soap pucks are not of uniform size, varying between manufacturers. Ditto, for mugs.

    For example, one of those "tall-ship series" mugs from Old Spice would be fine for a smaller-sized puck of Williams shaving soap, but you couldn't just "drop" a puck of TGQ into it (OK, it'll fit in, but won't go all the way down... maybe one-third).

    So... I'm sure there are others out there.

    Brand Diameter
    ===============
    Col. Conk 2-7/16" (6.2cm)
    TGQ 3" (7.5cm)

    You can have everything, and still not have enough.
    I'd give it all up, for just a little more.

    Thanks for the response guys. I just prefer minimal packaging. I don't want to buy a jar just to have to cram it in my mug.
