Thanked: 135Tabac running on fumes
So, the bottom of the Old Spice mug that houses one of the finest soaps I've used is about kapoot. For the very briefest of moments I thought about putting something else in there but snapped out of my fog and am going to put in the order for the classic. I've got some of the heavy hitters and none have a better lather than Tabac. However, I'm wanting to add another puck to my shave den. I'm one of those that have to use something up before I'll get something new but its time to expand a little.
I've got DR Harris, a couple of Czech & Speak's, a couple of Saponificio Varesino's, MWF, two creams (Castle Forbes, Taylor of Bond street) and a crop (Le Pere Lucien). I've settled on hard, triple milled soaps as my favorite type and would like to get another.
Michell's Wool Fat leaves my face feeling like none other and I'd like to get another soap with this amazing face feel. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Triple milled eh... you know I think Martin de Candre is a triple milled. If you feel like paying for it. I hear Saponificio Varesino Beta 4.3 is da bomb.
I can highly recommend the Osma soap - https://straightrazorpalace.com/soap...osma-soap.html
And Pre de Provence - https://straightrazorpalace.com/soap...ence-63-a.html. But if you’re in it for the feel, go with the Osma.
Oh good gosh man! So many choices!! Nom, nom!Last edited by earcutter; 10-01-2018 at 11:44 PM.

Thanked: 135Definitely in it for the feel. The lather is done in 10-15 minutes, the scent gone within the hour (that I can notice), but that face feel stays with you all day long. So a hard soap with a fantastic lather, impressive scent (not underwhelming), and a MWF feel.
The feel of MWF is so good, I faceturbate throughout the day. I don't do that with any other soap that I've used. I know they are out there!

Feceturbate, yes! I know what your referring to! Can't stop touching your face! For me, the KY of shaving soap is Grooming Department! Keep a watchful eye they should be available again soon! Awesome stuff but few are hard, mostly on the softer side in the tub.

If you are searching for the post-shave of MWF, then there are a few artisan soaps that are on par and even better, in my opinion.
Mystic Water is the best I have tried, then Grooming Dept, Wholly Kaw, and Jabonman/Eufros.
Good luck.Laughter, Love, & Shaving

If you're in it for the feel, try the Osma with Alum, I found this soap a few years ago, and there's nothing like it - period.
The Alum in it contracts your face, makes it tingle, it's an incredibly well made French soap, and you'll get a crazy BBS shave from it, and your face will tingle for hours afterwards. Can be a bit tricky to lather according to some, I've never had a problem with it, but it's alone in its field in terms of containing Alum I believe..like shaving with lightning charged lather....you'll love it....earcutter recommended it above and popped a link in for you. :-)

Thanked: 292Most folks say they have so many soaps they say they have never seen an empty soap mug, tin, or tub. Congratulations on finishing one. Be sure to post a picture of the mug right before your lather for you final shave with Tabac.
