    TC,
Thank you for the encouragement. Yes, it’s good to be home, where I can fade away in the shave den every morning.
You will like Mama Bear soaps. They are worth having in the shave den. Enjoy.

I have tried a couple of glycerine soaps and never could build a lather with enough cushion for my liking. However, I have not tried Mama Bear soaps. Maybe one day.

You need some Mamabear in you collection Ray. Now its not the quality of MDC or CF, but you would be amazed or how well it lathers being a glycerin soap. And the quality it does have.

    So, TC. Whats your opinion?

Hello all... Here is my thoughts on one shave with Mama Bears Aqua di Gio.. First ill start off with something that i think is important.. We have a whole Culligan water system in the house so im very fortunate in that regard and what it means to shave doaps and creams.. So with that said my expectations were pretty high for lather and slickness.. Well they were met and even exceded some.. It whipped up for me almost instantly.. I did use a bowl instead of face lather and also started with quite a bit of water from the get go.. I dont want to go too far as this was only the first shave but for me the lather/slickness (did use preshave oil that i dont always do) and protection was stellar! It does like to drink thats for sure but knew that already.. The scent is on the light side which is not a big deal for me.. I am not going to put this at CF level (yet) but my step below CF that i use are MWF, DR Harris, Stirling Vetiver, AoS Original... Keeping in mind its only one use i would not put Mama Bear below any i just listed.. As stated by others i think almost all wet shavers should have a Mama Bear product in the cabinet.. Im very impressed... Ooops, Almost forgot.. Post shave was excellent. Cold splash or 2 of water, pat dry, Addidas alcohol base AS and my face did not dry out.. Sorry about the choppy review.. Going to use the Rose tomorrow and will most likely shave using just MB for the week and give another review after... Scott

My experience with Mama Bear is her soaps lather like an explosion regardless of the water quality. She is generally underrated which is a shame.

Hi Jerry... I am about to get cleaned up and try out the Rose today.. There is quite a difference in scent power from yesterdays Aqua to this Rose.. Rose scent is very strong and ill add it smells wonderful, especially when its 2 degrees out today and the dead of winter here in N. Michigan. The scent is a fresh reminder that Spring will come.. Enjoy the rest of your day.. Peace!

I have the Spellbound Woods and Sandalwood Vanilla. They are both a nice scent. Just not strong. Enjoy the Rose. Its not one of my favorite scents for shave soap. But thats just me.
