Thanked: 3Giving Wholly Kaw a try
Well I am giving this premium soap a try. Prior to coming to SRP, I was hearing some here and there on BB and that this is a good soap. Talking to Gasman one of his suggestions was to try this soap. So here I am... I ordered the tallow sample pack with all 8 scents. So in a few days I'll be giving this a try after they arrive. Anyone have a favorite scent?

Not so sure it’s a premium soap but it’s a good one, upper tier two for me, nothing bad nothing spectacular. You should like it

Thanked: 3Thanks. Reading Obie’s post on soaps/creams he had it top tier and was basing it off of that. I’m excited frankly, still such a beginner. I’ve only used two soaps... Proraso Red, and VDH Deluxe from the local grocery store. So this is my inaugural venture out to the great unknown of “good soaps”.

Keep us posted. Where did you find the sampler? I have a couple of soaps that I’ve been interested in trying.

Thanked: 3I found it looking through their site after reading a bit and seeing some members tried samples.

The base of this soap is quite nice and I think you'll enjoy it. Regarding scents, that is all very subjective and I didn't find one that I truly liked, unfortunately, even Bare Naked, the unscented version, had a fairly noticeable scent of some kind which I found a bit odd.
Good luck.Laughter, Love, & Shaving

Thanked: 4826I have used a few of their soaps. They shave well, most of them I was not really excited about the scent. The first one I tried I thought was an amazing scent. It was unavailable when I ran out and grabbed a few others to try. They are ok, but nothing that makes me really want to say try these scents.

Ive only tried the King or Oud and enjoyed it. I think it is a good quality soap and makes your skin feel good afterwards. Some feel its a bit buttery feeling and i agree. But that is what takes care of your skin.
Scent is a personal thing. Some like light and fruity other might enjoy a flowery or manly scent. Good luck and let us know your thoughts. Without a lot of playing with lots of soaps it might be a little hard to understand what your feeling for but the fun is in the learning.
BTW, next time i see ya i will hook you up with a sample of MDC so you can get spoiled. It's just Sharpening, right?

For me, it's in my top 2 or 3 I've ever tried. My favorites are King of Oud and Fougere Bouguet (though I've got a few samples I haven't tried). I think it's one of the best of the new generation artisan "croaps" as we say. It creates a rich, luxurious and slick lather, and it has no equal for after-shave skin nourishing IMO. I like the heavily-perfumed scents too, personally. YMMV-enjoy!
There are many roads to sharp.

Thanked: 3Thanks for all of the input. Hoping to try a few of them before I go on vacation the beginning of next month. Hoping this doesn't start me down the rabbit hole and start to buy a lot of these.
