Default Gentleman's Nod - new artisan software maker

    Hello Gents,

I just came across this new software maker out of Omaha, NE.
I'm curious if any of you have tried it, couldn't find any reports/reviews on the forum.
Based on their soap formula it looks very similar to Oleo or WK and their scents' description appears to me!

From #1 George line here are the ingredients:
"Aqua (Water), Garcinia Indica Seed (Kokum) Butter, Stearic Acid, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Orbignya Oleifera (Babassu) Seed Oil, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Potassium Hydroxide, Glycerin, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Fragrance, Sodium Lactate, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Citrate, Goat’s Milk, Raw Honey, Allantoin, Silk Amino Acids, Bentonite Clay, Tocopherol (Natural Vitamin E), Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice"

Here is a quick bio from their site:
"We are a small batch, handcrafted, artisan maker. We craft all of our grooming products the old fashioned way in Omaha, NE. A great deal of passion, research, and testing goes into each and every product we make. (never tested on animals, just us and our homies).

A simple lowering of the head ... a small tip of the hat ... a slight lift of the eyebrows, the gentleman’s nod is an unspoken gesture acknowledging the dignity and solidarity that all gentlemen share. Universally understood among civilized societies, it may appear in different forms across time and culture, but its basic meaning remains. Appreciating this common link among men, Gentleman’s Nod grooming line was created. A modern personal care brand with historical context. Recognizing that throughout time, cultures and generations, gentlemen not only have a universal way of showing respect, but a common desire for personal care and quality. To further this concept, each of our fragrances is a “nod” to famous men in history. The aromas take their inspiration from each gentleman’s namesake and are intended to honor the unique accomplishments of pioneering men in history. In addition, each fragrance is numbered to reflect and coincide with that man’s unique mark."

I have tried most of the top artisan soaps. However, this one is so new that I have not yet encountered it. Less than a week ago, Jason Rudman of Ruds Shaves did a review of the soap and gave it a shave score of 94 which places it in the same league as some of the top artisans. For a rookie soapmaker to achieve such lofty honors is amazing. However, looking a the list of ingredients in the soap that is posted above, this shave score does not surprise me in the least. These ingredients are also used by some of the top artisan soapmakers.

Before placing an order, I need to decide which scent(s) I will like best. Of course, I could order the flight of four different scents, but I am not a fan of lathering samples.

Agree RayClem with you that's why I ordered a sample pack. West Coast Shaving had a free shipping on the new items and these soaps were included in the promo.
It appears that currently Gentleman's nod only has 4 soap variety and some pre and post shaving products however, the sampler pack is only available in shaving soaps. Will provide feedback once the soaps hit the face.
