    Default Knightsbridge

    Hi all,

    Anyone tried Knightsbridge?

I'm looking for a new soap or cream for my new brush

I'm looking to spend in the region of $20 - $30 Ca and I would like matching shave balm and if poss bead oil.

I would like a really nice scent.

I am thinking so far of La Poire Francaise Shaving Soap by Henri et Victoria, it also has shave balm but I would have to use unscented beard oil - not a deal breaker.

I have to suggest shaving the beard and forgetting the beard oil.

    I love that idea, but.

I had a full beard until I got a straight razor. I turned it into a little goat n stash so I would have some face to shave.

I was in trouble for days, if I shaved any more off I reckon I’ll be sleeping in the car till spring.

Maybe but I’m a wuss and I might get in trouble

I think I’ll just use beard oil, besides I don’t have to learn how to shave my top lip and chin this way.

I have the Knightsbridge Charcoal and quite like it. Not much of a lasting scent, though. Price was quite reasonable - about $18 CDN if I remember correctly.

H & V produce some good shaving soaps and creams. Personally, I like their Cognac and Cuban Cigars and Duc de Santal. Scent is a very personal choice and I prefer earthier scents like sandalwood and tobacco.

    Hi Steel,

    What am I missing?

High Grading? I'm originally from England so there must be a translation thing.

High grading refers to taking only the best or easiest and leaving the lesser grade, or the hard work behind. You are shaving the easy parts and leaving the more difficult area behind. In commercial fishing it is when you release all but the premium fish, in logging it is when you clear cut but take onlly the highest value timber. In shaving it is when you have a goatee and moustache.
