Maybe, I should have stated good artisan soaps, such as Mike's, Mystic Water, Jabonman, Stirling, Cold River, Declaration Grooming, Wholly Kaw, Shannon's, Eleven, MdC, et cetera.

Nah.. You worded it just fine..Some of us never grow out of the immature and silly jokes plus when you are in a "lock down" state your mind can get a little bored... You do have Laughter before Love & Shaving after all

And glad you mentioned Eleven Soaps..Dont read anyone saying much about the company on the forum but on a whim I picked up a tub of Amber,Patchouli & Oak and find it to be a fine soap..

Whatever provides a slick lather. Only preference I have is that in warmer and hot months, I prefer something mentholated and in cooler and down right cold weather, I prefer a Sandalwood scented soap and or cream.

I love strong scents and thats about my yardstick.

I prefer soap over cream although the rocky mountain sandalwood cream is almost good enough to have on toast.

I haven't bought any of the famous soaps and creams mentioned. I go for stuff like Blackbeard by WSP, that stuff is powerful strong smelling. I also go for Cognac and Cuban Cigar by Henri et Victoria, and The Stirling soaps etc.

If a new soap has a smell that ticks all my boxes i have to say i don't worry about the lather much. I just have to work harder at it and smell the stuff for longer

On a side note, I have got Pre de Provence 63, my personal view is it is so subtle that i only ever use it when I want to break in a new boar brush and get rid of the smell because the Pre de Provence doesn't seem to give the brush any soap smell to speak of which is great because i have a seperate dedicated brush for every soap I get and i am a fan of boar brushes.

To summarize, I love strong soap that probably don't lather like some and have a rotation of cheap beater razors that I love like my children.
