Finally got my samples in from Maggard(between order and ship, they are fast!), USPS was the big delay.

Anyhow, decided to give the opening honors to Bronco and boy, does it impress me. I'm no soap/creme/croap aficionado, so take my report with a grain of salt.

Bronco, as in the original Ford Bronco.

Here's Evan's review at Maggards site:

"Bronco smells exactly how you think it would, the inside of your uncle’s old a*s bronco. leathery, foresty, little twinge of adventure . the soap itself lathers like a dream, is super slick, but not too slick, so you can still pull the skin, and leaves my face feeling like its been on a walk through the backwoods of colorado."

To the smell, I would add its a bit like a vintage leather coach or chair one would find in an old school banker or lawyer's office.

Concur on the lather, though I would say slick, not super slick like uber lather can be. I did make a mistake here and ended up with too much lather. A waste really. I lathered using the Italian method. I had easily enough lather in the brush for a dozen passes.

Ingredients located on the bottom of my sample lid: Stearic acid, Potssium Hydroxide, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Tallow and Vegetable oils, Sodium Hydroxide, Crambe Abyssinica Seed Oil, Fragrance, Glycerine

This will soon be added to my currently sparse collection. Through The Fire Fine Crafts has got my attention. Looking at the Bronco AS as well.

Any others try Bronco?

Cheers,
Simon
