Thanked: 3225Why on God's green earth
I am wondering why on God's green earth Wilkinson do not put the same soap their shave stick is made of in their blue soap bowl? Their shave stick produces an excellent lather and the cost is moderate while their blue bowl shave soap is marginal in comparison but still moderately priced. Tabac manages to do it. It's a puzzle to me.

Never tried either , but it does seem odd. Maybe you should write them a letter?

Thanked: 603To quote Joe Biden, the Democrat party's 2020 US presidential candidate:
"I know it’s a great question, and you all, I don’t blame you for asking, but you know the moment I answer that question, that headline in every one of your papers will be about that, other than, other than focusing on what’s happening now."
IOW, it's a good question, but "no soap".You can have everything, and still not have enough.
I'd give it all up, for just a little more.

Thanked: 292The solution is simple. If you like the shave sticks, grate them and press the soap into your bowl.
Remember that Wilkinson Sword is part of the Edgewell Personal Care family of products that includes Personna. You cannot expect the things to do to be logical.

My daughter went to Germany a while back and I asked her to get me some nice shaving soap.
She brought back a tub of Wilkerson from a grocery store! To be fair, it IS made in Germany!
The stick I have (kindly provided by the OP, Thanks, Bob!) does work considerably better.
I found the soap in the tub to be pretty hard in comparison. It works lots better after I cut a grid into it with a knife and let hot water sit on it a while to soften it up. Cannot be same in my mind, but it is white and the stick is blue?
