I’ve broken a couple of ceramic scuttles in the last few years. One just kind of blew up when I added too hot water from the kettle and the other was defeated by gravity.

This plastic one is virtually indestructible.

I shouldn't laugh but that is a grave situation, defeated by gravity and put in the grave.

I am sorry to hear that you feel that way.

Is there some way that I can help?

May I suggest that you wait for 48 hours then I suspect that you will have some suggestions?

As I mentioned earlier, I no longer have a ceramic scuttle. I tend to face lather most often now, but the plastic one I showed is actually quite functional.

There are quite a few potters/vendors selling ceramic scuttles on ETSY.

    Here’s one based in Canada.

I also noticed a vendor in the UK who seems to be clearing inventory at a reasonable price.

I have a few scuttles. Here is the one sitting on the sink. They really don't get used much...Name: 16712746368448352226816331692311.jpg

    Yes, you’re right.
People used to be more patient and didn’t expect a full set of answers after 20 hrs…
