    Default Bad Santa

I don't have a lot of experience with soaps, I do have quite a lot but there all either Henri et Victoria, Rocky Mountain, WSP or Stirling.

I recently got Bad Santa by Macduff.

I loaded the brush, a nice thick lather as usual but OMG, it goes on so thick, I could hardly move the brush.

Maybe other soap are like that but that Macduffs needed so much water I mean thirsty thirsty.
I'm not complaining, I will probably get others by them because I like it, but my goodness its thick stuff.

Maybe you loaded too much into your brush.

You could be right Mike, but in my defense I didn't load any more of the Macduff than any of my other soaps. Maybe its better stuff than I'm used to and needs a lot less.

I shaved tonight (with one of the razors you sent me when I first started with a straight actually) but his time I used the loaded brush to build a nice creamy lather in my scuttle.

Now I'm cooking with gas, what a great lather and a great shave, I was sad when i finished, I did my 4 passes and would have loved another two but there was nothing left to shave off except maybe a few layers of face, and the boss was getting antsy for dinner anyway.

I’ve used Bad Santa for over a year as part of my regular soap rotation. You are right, it does load up nice and thick. One of the facebook forums mentions that the base Macduff uses tends to do that with all their soaps - good thing!

I also like the smell. My smeller isn’t that great anymore, but the people in my life who matter say it leaves a pleasant, kind of earthy after shave aroma that suits snow on the ground and cold outside temperatures. The post shave face feel is very nice too. Plus, I really like the artwork on the lid.

They have several other seasonally-themed soaps I plan to try once I make room in my soap drawer.

The artwork is really good on the Bad Santa.

I like the smell too, I have discovered that if i dont use the matching post shave and beard oil, my wife can tolerate my soaps because im not walking around in a big smelly cloud

She really likes bad Santa and wont stop looking for excuses to get close enough to smell my face, its really annoying actually

Im going to get more Macduff soap too, they do a whole line of cabin scents as well as the Canadian themes like Icefield Parkway etc

Let me know what your other Macduff soaps are like, i only got Bad Santa because you said how good it was last year.

i wont keep using it after Crimbo, ill put it away in the middle of Jan till next December, and my Stirling candy Cane too
