Travel Size Shaving Cream
When my wife and I went on vacation last year I took the Proraso Travel Shaving Kit. I only used the Shaving Cream and the After Shave Balm. I did like it, but I hated having no use for the small brush and pre-shave cream.
Do any of you know of a good alternative for good products in travel sized containers?

I have done this with tooth paste but not shaving cream but don't see why it wouldn't work.
If you have a travel or sample size tube and a larger one put the open ends together and by sqeezing the large one you refill the smaller one.
This reminds me of a lesson that my wife who was a teacher used with her students. Taking a simple project like writing about how to make a peanut butter sandwich.....

Thanked: 171As mentioned, samples are one way to go, but some you have to pay for, which in my mind defies the purpose of a sample. In any case, I prefer the true and tested rather than ship out with some samples where I am not sure whether I will like them.
D.R. Harris, Truefit & Hill, Taylor of Old Bond Street, Mühle, Speick and some others all offer shaving creams in less than 100ml size (usually 70-75 ml).
I generally don’t bother with such small sizes (as the are expensive on a per volume basis) and use 100 as my lower limit, as this is a size that I still can take through airport security.
Besides shaving soaps, there are of course also shaving sticks, which I buy primarily for travel.

Why not a soap stick like Palm Olive or La Tina? That’s what I travel with.

I find i can smash enough soap onto the bottom of a wooden lather bowl I made for a weeks travel. If Im out longer a sample container filled with my fav will work when the bowl runs out.
It's just Sharpening, right?

Thanked: 4206sticks like Arko are perfect for travel. As are the nearly empty bits from pucks near spent.
Shaving on vacation is highly over rated any way!!!!"Depression is just anger,, without the enthusiasm."
