Thanked: 171La Toja Shaving Creams no Longer Produced.
I noticed that La Toja shaving creams have become increasingly hard to find.
Even several Spanish sellers (El Corte Inglês, Gifts & Care, Amazon España) have neither the La Toja Sensitive nor Classic shaving cream in stock.
I contacted Henkel Iberica S.A. and they replied “In relation to your comments we regret to inform you that we currently no longer sell La Toja shaving cream, neither Classic nor Sensitive Skin.”
This is surprising, as I had thought that Henkel sold enough of these creams to keep producing them.
It is also sad because, while I only used them occasionally, I did like these slightly salty shaving creams that performed very well.
Now there are only the Classic and Sensitive foams in the can left plus the shaving stick which apparently has been reformulated recently.
This is the only latest chapter in a saga that started when Henkel of Germany bought La Toja in the late 90s, closed the original production site in Galicia in 2007 and transferred production (with mineral salts shipped from the old site) to Slovenia.
Well, at least it creates some free space in my bathroom.
Thank you Henkel Iberica.

Thanked: 4826Bummer. It has been one of my regulars for a while. The original that is. I haven’t tried any of the others.
