Default Terre d' Hermes shaving cream

Has anyone used this shaving cream by any chance?

I haven't. While I think it's interesting, I wouldn't expect some great performance. Looking forward to actual feedback

    Cheers

    Thanks for the reply, Ivo.
Why don't you expect any great performance?

I have to say though, whilst the scent may be good, I have no idea what to expect. But I've tried the balm and it feels quite good. I've had bad experiences from these fragrance-inspired products before.

I don't expect any great performance because often the so-called high end designer cosmetic products do not have highest quality ingredients, etc. that you may be expecting. Your experience seems to confirm this observation of mine

Interesting comments, thanks Ivo. Anyone else agree/disagree?

Generally, I agree. There are exceptions. Floris and (I hear - I need to get some) Penhaligons make a living off their scents but their shave soaps & creams do a great job. The thing to keep in mind (IMO) is the folks who manage to do well on both fronts are few and well known to the folks around here. Simply because it hasn't been raved about here would cause me to approach it skeptically. That doesn't mean it won't be the most amazing thing you've ever tried. Just a general guideline.
