I don't care much for the Williams, but my Dad used Tabac, so both the soap and a/s take me back in nostalgic way.

Personally I've had no problems with William's. It gives me a great thick amount of wonderful lather that gets the job done.

Consequently I use Old Spice too...

Good to know I'm not the only one.

I have a puck of Williams sitting in
my mug. I use it from time to time. Right
now I'm using TOBS Lavender shave
cream. I like to mix things up a little. Just
got TOBS Collection No. 74 Victorian
Lime AS. I don't know what it is, but it
reminds me of something from my childhood.

As for Old Spice, that's one that is forbidden
in this household. I've tried telling her that
my father and grandfathers used it, but to no a
    avail. Oh well, maybe someday.

    We must establish "Rules-of-the-road" !

Who's the MAN of this house ?

You must inform the dear, sweet girl that OLD SPICE is a "birthright", an
absolutely NECESSARY condiment of happiness, and the "good life" ! ! !

I've got a puck of Williams, didn't find it to be too bad at all. Only used it once though so...

I like the scent of old spice, wanted to buy some NOS old spice shave soap on the bay but 7 pucks sold for $500 thats too rich for me.

    Marko.....

Shakespeare had it right when he wrote, "Discretion is the better part of valor." If OS is that special to you, draw the line in the sand. Personally, I'd rather fight for days afield during upland bird season and everything else be damned. I will watch Sense and Sensibility ad infinitum so long as I can hunt birds in the fall, and I'll pull that Jane Austin card out when it's time. Everyone's got their thing they'd fight for, but I don't know that OS should be one of them because there are so many great choices from which to choose. As it is, my father-in-law used the stuff, so it's welcomed in my house.

    Marko,

I appreciate the call arms. However, I've spent the
day on this damn computer of mine buying
shaving supplies, including a lot of 16 razors on
ebay. The Old Spice will wait for another
day. It will have to be perfect timing I believe.

I agree with GSSixgun that Ogallala new formula Bay Rum shave soap is top notch and is one of my favorites. I like his Bay Rum & Sandalwood too and like it a little better. If I had to choose one it would be Floris Santal Cream. I have a puck of Williams that I use for target practice.

Yup, I have a puck of it (Williams) in a cup as I type this. I used it last night because I ran out of my regular stuff. I love the stuff!!!

    Default Williams First Try

I bought Williams as a first soap but found it too drying. I switched to Pirate's Cove Bay Rum and enjoy that one.
