Default Set myself up for disappointment

Well, as a newbie who was getting myself set up to shave with a straight as my birthday gift to myself. I made a mistake, but I only regret it now. I decided to treat myself to a fancy shaving cream for my first purchase, Castle Forbes Lime. Now, I shaved once before receiving it with Williams, and that was fine. But I am now hooked on CF. I also purchased one thing of Bay Rum soap from CS and used it for the first time today. well, between my lack of experience with soaps instead of creams, and all my other shaves being with CF, I can barely think of using the soap again. Have I spoiled myself for good?

No, That will occur when you try an Uberlather, made with the CF cream and a great soap, with some pure glycerin mixed together, then you are well on your way down the slippery slope

after a while, you will probably want to experiment with a few other creams and soaps, and will probably find a variety of them that you will like.
You'll be wanting to try mama bears and colleen's soaps for sure...
and you'll probably change your preference as often as your mood...

I would say put the CS soap aside for a while. At some point, you'll want to try it again. You've got the rest of your life, so don't sweat it.
