I know the feeling I just got my first GOOD lather a few minutes ago it was a beautiful feeling. I had not been whipping it nearly enough. OH MAN is it good when you get it right!

Is it just the soap as well?
I think so,yeah. I had a thread on here somewhere specifically dedicated to finding out if Williams sucks for everyone, or just me. My thoughts are that hard water really contributes to the problem. "Watery" is a good way to describe it. Try more soap, and/or the above excellent method.

    Good luck

Funny you should say that. I have been dying to try Glen's Wiki method here: http://straightrazorpalace.com/srpwiki/index.php/Making_%C3%9Cberlather

Went out today, bought a tube of Proraso and a bottle of glycerin. Just got done shaving a while ago. I added too much water initially, but the second time.......yes, it is good when you get it right!

While Kaptain's method sounds like badger abuse, I'm eager to try it tomorrow...if I can wait that long.
