Thanked: 23Wilkinson soap?
Hey! Recently I was at Walmart at I noticed that they had a shave soap in a wierd blue UFO looking thing made by Wilkinson. I was just wondering if it was any good? It's about three times the price of Williams, which I currently use, but at three times the price of Williams, it's still pretty cheap. :P

Junk.
It dried the hell out my skin and didn't work that well. Buy three pucks of Williams soap.

Thanked: 79It takes a good bit of work to get lather out of it but it does pretty decent (for me) after that. However, the Wilkinson shave stick blows it away. They are not the same. The soap inside the puck is a white colored soap, whereas the Wilkinson shave stick is a blue soap with a hint of lavender scent-and works quite well. Wish both were made of this stuff.

I love the stuff. It's not as thick as mama bears or a slick as Honeybee soap, but it's nice. I like it when I am planning on wearing Polo blue, it smells clean and fresh.

I got a half decent lather out of it easily and it was a decent soap. The reason I don't use it is b/c undisclosed time ago, in the confines of beautiful West Virginia, a baby-girl was born. That baby-girl grew up over the years and slowly, with time and hard work, transformed into Colleen Hurley -- the Soapmistress

Thanked: 84Hiya, I bought some in Tescos (supermarket chain in the UK), smells really fresh, works fine and I have very oily skin so don't mind if it dries me out a bit. For £1.50 for a huge bowl of soap it's a bargain.
I would like to add though, everyone should support the small specialist shaving soap/cream manufacturers or YOU WILL LOSE THEM, just like the hundreds of razor makers both the US and UK used to have.
