Floral...
Hi,
I just got my Geo.F. Trumpers samples and rose cream smells awesome! My girlfriend really likes floral scents so I'm looking for some nice ones, preferably creams.
What do you guys suggest? I'm thinking for lavender and rose...

For a Rose scent I like TOBS. Not too heavy but very nice. Also, a good price for tub. As far as lavender -- AOS is nice as is TOBS. AOS has a rose cream as well but I have not had a chance to smell it. Given the quality of their scents I'm sure it is nice.
For a bit more money Trumpers is always an option.

thanks,I haven't tried any of their products so i wasn't sure of how well they worked, but they get good reviews so ill take a look when my badger brush comes in...it seems better suited for creams.

Thanked: 79lavender and rose?
Having just acquired a tub of the AOS Rose Absolute Shave cream, I recommend it without reservation. It is also the only rose cream I know of to contain genuine rose absolute (I'm sure there are others, but it's the only large producer I know of)
Truefitt&Hill Rose-wonderful stuff. Lightly scented, smells fresh. It was unavailable here in the US, but is available again.
eShave-Floral. If you enjoyed the Trumper rose, Imagine it with less coloring and try this stuff. One of the best creams to get very little play (recently) on the forums.
Of course, Trumper rose which you've tried, and Taylor Rose-which I've only tried the old version of.
Lavender-AOS lavender, QED lavender(soap), DR Harris Lavender (is this still made? hope so), and of course, Taylor-which I've again only tried the old version. Vulfix Lavender. T&H makes a lavender which I've not tried, as do several other makers. In the bargain basement side of this, there is also KissMyFace Lavender &Shea butter shave cream, which for me was a ridiculously good performer, especially considering the price (cheap).
Hope I've helped, if only a little.

Thanked: 8I can second the TOBS rose cream recommendation. The scent is fantastic, and I've yet to find a TOBS cream that doesn't perform. I love the scent of Catle Forbes lavender and its performance is great, but the price is high. A couple of dark horses: Kiss My Face lavender, which is an earthier take on lavender, a great value, and lathers like a champ. Taylor of Old Bond Avocado is a bit of a rose and cucumber blend in terms of scent, and it leaves the skin feeling terrific.
Regards,
Tim
