    Default Soap Suggestions Please

    Greetings all

I've just been over to Mama Bears drooling some more and I have my eye on 2 of her shaving soaps - Pearberry and Tahitian Flowers. Pearberry is in the lead so far, but I was just curious as to what any other ladies use or what soap you Gents buy for your significant others.

I have sensitive skin and I'm allergic to lavender too.

    Thanks

    Silver

Have you checked with Colleen at the gentlemans quarter, she not only does the shave soaps and creams, but I believe she does the luxury bath soaps as well.

Joanna at TSD recommends to the guys to get Taylor Of Old Avocado for the ladies.

Since we started with Mama Bear, I'll stick with her soaps.
I have 2 soaps of hers that have made female friends of mine just about drool.
    They are...
Beau Brummel... A mix of black tea and tobacco, very mild and sweet, and it goes well with sandalwood.
    and...
Attar of Roses. A very pure and clean smelling rose scent.

Just keep in mind Mama Bears scents are addictive. She has a huge selection, and I have liked every one I've tried. If you buy one you will want more.

I like her Christmas forest, and toasted coconut. Awakenings is nice too on a hot day. Those are all I have and I like them all.

The gentleman's quarters soaps are by far the best, and great value for your dollar. Even the F.O's used in the soaps from TGQ are of such high quality, it will be a rare occasion that you have a reaction to their soaps.

I like my Mama Bear ylang ylang. It's a very, very subtle clean scent. By the time I've tossed on an aftershave the sent is gone, but it's very relaxing while shaving.

True there... I do get a little tingle from the cavendish black, but I like the scent so much, and it really isn't irritation.

but all of her shave soaps that I've tried are more masculine, and I think the question was about feminine shave soaps... Maybe the savon de comte, or the lime margarita...?

For the ladies out there thinking about buying these soaps, I just wanted to say that there is a lot of speculation about who's soaps are better, Mama Bear, or TGQ... The only thing not to speculate is that they are both 10's. Both ladies put out superb products, and have very little room for improvement.

Mama bear has a huge variety of scents, ranging from clean and simple to exotic and spicy. It would literally take months or years of shaving to sample all of her scents.

Colleen (TGQ) has less scents, but every one of her scents (that I've tried) has depth and character to it. and her soaps just look classy, they are excellent for gifts, and look and smell like they would be right at home in the old shaving shops of London.

Both of these ladies are straight forward, and will treat you right.

Just to throw another iron in the fire,my favorite soaps are from Sue at saintcharlesshave.com.
Hers are cold pour and to me provide a little more cushion.
Her Parma Violet and Cool Mint are wonderful scents and would work great for women as well as men.

LOL I got carried away recommending TGQ and forgot the main question.
