Thanked: 1212IMHO, whether aftershaves and perfumes work scent-wise depends a lot on the person wearing it. Something that smells attractive when person A wears it, might smell awful on person B. I thinks it has a lot to do with skin and body chemistry.
That said, I personally use Plisson shaving soap, which smells mild and fresh. Shaving soap PLISSON (Refill) 10.20 Euros - Plisson for Shaving
For aftershave I use "212 for men" from Carolina Herrera. They have a balm that 's great for my skin, and the smell is very contemporary. They also have regular alcohol based A/S with the same scent.
Great thread, had a few good laughs,
best regards,
Bart.

My wife considers clubman to be kinda hot. don't think she is old is 33 old? 33 was old when I was yonger but it dosn't seem old now. I think some of the old scents are good if worn lightly. I have had women ask what I was wearing (in a positive way) I made up something when it was cheep old clubman. I do on ocassion wear old spice and adidas. Truefitt&Hill has some great stuff that will set you apart from the crowd and not smell like an old barbershop.

By the way, while they're not modern scents, I've had great responses from women covering the 19-28 range when I used Cavendish Black or Leatherneck colognes. Every punk out there uses a "modern" scent. If you use a classical but tasteful scent, that's one way to stand out from the crowd.

It is easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled. Twain

While I prefer the more nostalgic scents. You might want to check out some of the Truefitt and Hill creams. They can kind of go either way and still provide great performance.

Thanked: 328Check with Truefitt and Hill, they will send you samples.. I'm a younger guy, and love their stuff. So does my wife. Sometimes the Trafalgar cologne will get her into the SRP thong for me..
