Thanked: 0The Lather Plus Foam??
Hey all,
My method of shaving is the one I learned from my fellow barbers. We use a mix of lather and foam. I applied this to my regular shaving. I use my badger brush to apply both but I read somewhere that all that is needed is just the lather and that because the foam has uneccessary and maybe harmful chemicals, it should be avoided entirely.
How many use a combination of lather and foam? Do you recommend it? for those who know, are foams harmful?
Thank You

Thanked: 17Are you referring to foam out of a can? I would say that is unnecessary with a proper lather.
A lot of barber shops use a lather machine which spits out heated lather, but that's mainly due to health codes about using the same brush on multiple people as well as the time it saves.

I don't see the advantage. Lather does everything you need for shave prep as long as its quality stuff. I can't see what foam adds to the equation.

foam from a can is a good addition to lather the same way fecal matter is a good addition to chocolate.
