Soap/Cream for dry skin?
Greetings,
I would like some opinions on a great soap or cream for dry skin. I have used my 2 favorite creams Floris JF, and Taylors Avocado for the past 2 years, but lately my skin has been really dry and sensitive due to a large drop in humidity; usually about 65% now 32%. Anyways, before I head out to try some new creams or soaps I thought I would get some opinions since I have mainly stuck with the same 2 creams for so long.
Cheers

I almost always finish my routine with a moisturizer that has SPF.

I'd agree with this recommendation for the IK. Extremely skin friendly with excellent performance during the shave as well. Very light, pleasant floral scent that lends itself nicely to the whole experience.
There's many reviews in different forums in order to get a better handle on how many members enjoy this soap. Right now I believe the only place to order this product from is Shaving Essentials and the owners will be on vacation until around Sept 21st.
Hope that helps,
Martin

Thanked: 95I've had very pleasant experiences with the La Toja Sensetive cream from Vintage Scent, here's a review of the cream over at B&B.

I would suggest a couple of items: Lime creme from Castle & Forbes or any of Momma Bear's glycerin soaps with essential oils (rosemary and mint is one of my favorites).

Thanked: 351I'd have to say that if dry skin was a problem for me, I'd probably reach for Mitchel Wool Fat soap... Great shaves and leaves my face very soft and smooth, no doubt due to the lanolin it's made from.
I do get fine results with the QED soaps and the QED aftershave skin conditioner which I quite like in the winter when my face gets dry and chapped (working outdoors in -40 weather will do that to you) but I don't have all that much problem with dry skin on my face... my hands on the other hand.... Still, MWF is probably the best I've found. No need for any balms after that one.
Regards

Thanked: 1903If I had dry skin, I think I would go for the Lavender one. Any road, Castle Forbes creams all provide excellent moisturising. Applying Toner and Day Cream by Dr Hauschka might help in any event. Pricey, but very good.
