Thanked: 1Shaving Cream and lather.
Hi everyone.
I have been shaving with a straight for a few months now.
I use a 7/8 hollow ground razor and a paddle strop.
I have a Japanese stone to refresh the edge from time to time and chose to use no paste at all.
Yesterday I tried Colleen's shaving cream before I lathered up with her Black Cavendish soap ( I can only but promote her products, by the way , and Colleen is a very kind person ) and I noticed a real improvement in the quality of the shave.
It was close to being the closest I could ever hope for
I used only soap before and wondered if shaving cream and soap had to be used together as I did ? or is the shaving cream in itself sufficient ?
Greetings from France
Fabrice.

Bonjour, Fabrice!
Mark
English version:
Hello Fabrice.
You use the cream or the soap separately - you don't have to use them together.
Excuse my poor French grammar or syntax, it's been a long time since I've written in French.Last edited by Milton Man; 10-22-2008 at 07:56 PM.

Thanked: 1Thanks Milton!
At least you make an effort !
My neighbours on the other side of the Channel don't bother.
As for me, I used both.
Stupid French !

cream and soap
