Thanked: 1Pay Dirt!
So i have been getting itchy as I have not had access to good shaving products here in Dubai. Although there are some little gems finding for instance finding good english shave creams etc are just non-existant.
Or so I thought.... Last night I decided to go to one of the older malls here. Its a little out of the way from my house but I was down in that area for my hockey game so I thought I'd kill some time by browsing around the mall. And what did I find?
Penhaligons store!
I have been reading the reviews of the scents on here and other places and have been very intrigued about their products. So I bought some Blenheim Bouquet Shave soap and cream.
Has anyone tried these products and do you have any other ones to recommend?

I haven't heard of them before. Looks like they've got an online store:
The Art of Shaving - Penhaligons
Their AS looks good, albeit pricey at $85. Let us know how you like it.
OT: Wait, did you say hockey? In Dubai? I know you have in-door skiing, but it is just nuts to me there are any winter sports there.

Thanked: 24Penhalogens
I have tried several of the Penhaligons Edt and aftershave and really like the depths of their fragrances although as you have probably seen already the scents ,as a rule with all the ones I tried, do not stay around very long, although this is a personal thing. The Belenheim Boquet, Opus1870,which is really nice scents don't last really long.If you wish to try these scents and check out a few more, as they have quite a few and are real pricey just to be trying them out, They have a scent library which is avaliable from London Bathecary at the following E-mail: [email protected]y on......

Thanked: 0Dubai, eh? I'm just up the road in Doha, at least for 3 more months. No shave stores around here, though.

Yeah I know what you mean. For the first while here I was going into every indian shop and store searching for products.
What I have found so far:
- Penhaligons - Which in my mind would be realyl hard to beat. THe soap is very rich and so is the cream. The scents are awesome. I picked up some Eau de Cologne in Belheim Bouquet, English Fern and Castile. All very good scents.
- Feather razor blades are in abundance here you just have to search.
- The Souk (market) has alum from Iran that crystal clear and good quality and very cheap.
- L'Occitane has decent soap.
- Crabtree and Evelyn sell Edwin Jagger brushes and they have a nice lime cologne and sweet almond shave cream.
- There are a lot of the creams (off the shelf stuff) you cant get eaisly elsewhere (US) such as Dettol, Nivea, Supermax, and other. I picked up some stuff called Gatsby the other day.
Gatsby is really awesome shave cream. It was cheap and I was really surprised at how well it performs.
