Thanked: 9Edwin Jagger
Recently purchased some EJ shave soap. I usually build the lather on my face. Upon trying the EJ, I found that the soap dries rather quickly as compared to other soaps that I've used. I've experimented with more and less water and get pretty much the same result.
Wondering if anyone else has had that experience with this brand.
Thanks in advance.

Thanked: 39I've heard I haven't used it my self but i've heard it isn't too good. I did recieve a sample of their sandalwood cream, the smell was heavenly but the lather wasn't very impressive. Compared to other soaps I think EJ's doesn't hold the same preformance and quality.

Best bang for the buck? The Gentlemens Quarter (Colleen) has the best performing soap I have used.
Although scent is a purely personal thing, I have found her scents to be clean and natural. She can be found in the Vendor's Corner forum below...

Thanked: 39Lawman, btw are you lathering correctly? Try lathering in a bowl, that might help

Thanked: 9Amen to dward's recommendation of GQ. That's what I usually use but thought I would splurg on something with a fancy name and price tag. While the EJ lathers up nicely and the scent is great, it just dries out too quickly and doesn't provide the smoothness that GQ does.
Rawaz, I've tried lathering in a bowl and got the same results.

Thanked: 39EJ a fancy name and price tag? EJ is like the cheapest soap that you can get over here..exept palmolive of course
But then if it isn't your lathering it must be that the EJ just is like that, dries out quickly..tried adding some glycerine to it? might help
Otherwise just shave quick as hellhehe..I dont know about you but it takes me 1h to shave no matter what.
Anyway good luck!
