    Default Hydrolast Shaving Paste

I would like to make the fine people of Straight Razor Place aware of some new products. Recently Charles Roberts of Enchate has released a very new and amazing shaving cream of sorts. It is market as Hydrolast Shaving paste, and is quite unique in its formula. This is a pure water based product made of food grade materials and is completly free of all chemicals. The product is used in conjuction with a cube of soap formulated to work with the shave paste. This is a brush based systems and has had very good results among the intial users of the product.

I bring this to your attention as I beleive this system is quite amazing and has real value to straight razor shavers. The product is specifically made to allow for utlra sharp blades to track evenly and smoothly across ones face. Read, it is slick as goose snot, to use a phrase well known in these parts. I will provide a link to some information, and ask that a few of your give this stuff a serious try at some point in time. Why you ask, well I would love to have some of my thoughts validated by experienced straight razor shavers.

The product does not behave like your typical soap and creams, and information and help is freely available on my website. For those of you interested the cost is not outrageous at $9.95 for a 400g cube, and $15.00 for 4.0oz of hydrolast. Certanly it is not for everyone, but I hope some of you will try this and let me know your feedback. No I recieve no incentive for getting you to try this stuff. Just a real desire to have some feedback from a few more people, specificaly experienced straight razor users.

Information on Hyrdolast can be found here: http://www.methodshaving.com/articles/car/hydrolast.htm

And of course please stop by my site for any more information.

    Regards,

Has anyone tried this stuff? Sounds completely different than what I'm used to.
