Thanked: 0Truefitt & Hill
Hey all, eager newbie here. I picked up a used razor about a month ago from SRP and just got a C&E BB brush today and am getting pretty excited to start shaving. I found the Truefitt & Hill in Chicago and was wondering if anyone had recommendations on the Truefitt & Hill shave creams, or the other soaps they carry (Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet and Caswell-Massey Greenbriar were my favorite scents). Any other/better shaving shops in Chicago?

I have their Trafalgar shave cream. Very nice cream. The scent is pleasing, but light.

It's hard to go wrong with any of the T&H stuff.

Thanked: 55I highly recommend the T&H luxury shaving soap. It's excellent stuff. But you could also get what seems to be the very same stuff at Vintage Blades under their house label for less.
Hope that helps.

EL

I've been using the T&H luxury shave soap the last couple of weeks and really enjoying it. Clean fragrance, the lather works up to a creamy state and feels great on the face.

I love the Trafalger cream. The 1805 is nice too. Enjoy!

I love the 1805 and the Grafton... the West Indian Limes is a very nice cream too, but the scent is a bit light for me (but, according to some reviews on B&B, I realised that I am not the usual lime scent lover... I like strong scent better). The lavender one is also very nice...
I guess you cannot go wrong with T&H, at least not for me.
