Thread: WATER!!!

I've been using Col. Conk's BAY RUM SOAP FOR ABOUT 2 MONTHS.
Didn't get to good results with it.
I would lather my face and shave one side and the other side would be dried before I got to it.
I thought it was the soap.
WRONG!!!
I was using tap water.
I tried using the spring water from the cooler and WOW.
I can now lather my whole face and -then- strop my razor 50 times and still have a good lather to shave with!
So anyone having trouble with thier lather drying to quick should check thier water before thinking it's a bad soap they are using.

It would improve even more if you used deionized or distilled water and add a few drops of glycerin to it, not much though. Also, it helps not covering your whole face with lather, especially if you are a slow shaver.
