    I would recommend using Hawaiian Tropic Tanning Oil (no SPF)...I know it seems weird but this oil is really great...smells like vacation... its cheap, so you can use as much as you like without worrying...it provides a great protective layer under your lather...

    Worth a try.

    I use the Caswell-Massey Sandalwood PSO. It works great and is only about $12 for a 2 oz bottle from Barclay & Crocker.
