Mama Bear's Rosemary & Mint shave soap
I'm not a soap/cream pro. My experience has been limited to:
Proraso cream
TOBS Shaving Shop cream
Williams
TGQ samples of lavender, black cavendish creams and orange patchouli, lemon verbena, vanilla sandalwood, leatherneck soaps
Classic Shaving glycerine
Toms of Maine peppermint and also calendula creams
Mama Bears unscented soap
Mama Bears Rosemary Mint soap
Out of the above, my favorite is the Mama Bear's Rosemary Mint for the following reasons:
- Exploding lather with nothing else needed to help it along and I need very little to get enough for a two-three pass shave.
- Great cushion and glide. The Proraso cream beats this by just a hair.
- It does not dry my face.
- It does not dry out on my face nor in the shaving bowl.
- It smells great.
- I like the fact that it's got natural EO. It doesn't irritate my face.
I have very very hard water at home. This soap seems to be completely unaffected by that. As an aside, I've found the TGQ soap scents to be exquisite. The TGQ soaps seem to have trouble living up to their potential with my unfriendly water.
