Default Falling in love with soap again...

When I first starting wet shaving, still using cartidges in AOS style, I used the soap. I made lather right on the soap, didn't know anything, and was never pleased with the results.
Then I found another shaving site, learned a little, and started shaving with a DE. Tried some cheap-ish soaps and a few handcrafted ones. I fell in love. then I met the high-end creams...and ooooh, never touched a soap again.
Then recently someone was selling a puck of MWF cheap. Picked it up, and WOW!!!! The glide of a really sharp razor with that soap!!! I'm getting the best shaves yet! I haven't touched my creams since that puck came in. Of course, I then ordered a few more soaps to try out. The Tabac just got here this morning from SRD. I got such a fantastic shave this morning, though, I don't think I'll be able to do as well tomorrow! (this morning is extra smooth, as I didn't have a great shave yesterday, shaved with one of my honing projects....OK, but not great). Might wait until Sunday night to shave with the Tabac. That might be an award winning shave.

Please tell me I'm not te only one that looks forward to shaves that are over 48 hours away, while hoping they can hold off for that long!!!

I have a puck of TGQ's Desert Ironwood and I can't wait 48 hours(despite the forum suggesting I do so.)

I find using just soap rather nostalgic, there is something very right about it...
Being an Uberlather junkie, I rarely do use just soap, except when doing test shaves on honed and restored razors for other people, then I feel the urge to KISS and just use soap for a true test....

I feel like it takes you back to a simpler time that way, a puck of Old Spice scented soap, a vintage Old Spice Boar Bristle brush, and a splash of Old Spice after the shave yeah I like it...

That's me whistling the Old Spice tune

Maybe it's my old laptop, but I could hardly hear it.

I'm not sure why, but I'm 19 and I didn't even have to play the video to remember what the tune sounded like. I have NO idea how I know it, but I do.
