Default TOBS not feeling so good?

    Hey all,

I have three soaps for the moment, TABAC, TOBS (almond) and the body shop shaving soap.

The TABAC offers a great shave (the best really), but TOBS smells so damn good I want to eat it. The Body Shop is very good also but tabac offers by far the best shave (not smell).

Now I have a problem when brushing up with TOBS, does anyone know if they use a lot of essentials oil or some kind of stuff that would give a slightly unpleasant stingy feeling when applying to your face? I am not at all quickly allergic to stuff, and have tried a trillion soaps. When I apply TOBS it feels like I have a slight razor burn but ... before the shave. Just wondering. I thought it was due to not resting my face long enough, but I haven't shaved for three days now (what a challenge!) so it's definitely not that. The last thing it could perhaps be is my brush, but I highly doubt that as I don't get that sensation with any of the other soaps.

    Anyone experience anything similar?

This happens to me with a few products. TOBS Avocado cream is one of them. Some people have sensitivities to certain chemicals or combinations of chemicals, and it's almost impossible to tell which...

Try it again when you're having a good face day, but be prepared to write that one off.

Really... I used it this morning and it was great. Thick, creamy, rich... very nice. And I do have sensitive skin.

YES. I love TOBS Almond cream, and used to use it and GFT Almond cream regularly. One day, I just started having a reaction to both of them (which some docs on SMF tell me isn't odd). I think there is something in the scent oils that the old english houses use for that foodie almond scent that hits a lot of people's allergic funny bones.

Sensitive to what? There are lots of things around, and some people are sensitive to things that other people who are sensitive to things aren't sensitive to. Things. To things. Sensitive.

LOL! I'm not sure... to things, I guess. Seriosuly: one of the soaps from Colleen says "not for sensitive skin". Leatherneck or the Cavendish. Well, you better believe that. I tried it and my face became RED for half an hour. So there's a thing in there that I'm sensitive to, and in TOBS there isnt. But there is a thing in there that Jantjeuh is sensitive to. I think.

That's the kind of thing I was talking about!!!

I tried Institut Karite, which is "for sensitive skin" and it gave me a burn that lasted for a good 48 hours. Literally, I couldn't touch my face it hurt so bad. I kept waking myself up at night when I rolled over and myu face hit the pillow. You never can tell when you'll get bit.
