Only just picking up on this thread guys - apologies.
Yep, I think it was the lanolin - I gave MWF (Kent) soap a try this week. The effect was pretty similar, although not as bad as Musgo. Nothing severe, but itching and a bit of redness were the common theme. I used a good balm on top which probably minimised the effects.

Thanked: 1The soaps and creams from castle forbes tend to give me a slight irritation. Nothing serious enough to stop me from using them. The Gentlemen's Quarter products are for my skin the mildest and are the ones I prefer on a daily basis. They are less expensive too.

unbelievable. I would still be interesting in trying
our cedarwood/sandalwood since it may be a lime
EO thing.

the classic shaving lavender shave cream. absolutely amazing latherability, but i'm allergic to lavender, so it makes me sneeze and sometimes itch a little bit. nothing wrong with the cream, though, just my allergies.

TGQ Cavendish Black is a great performing cream with a top shelf scent, but after a few shaves, my face starts to tingle. It really is too bad because I'd like to use it more.
