I just tried TGQ soap from the sampler for the first time today. All I have to say is WOW!
I left the soap and brush soaking while I showered, and when I came back I thought I had made a mistake. The little puck looked like it had disappeared. But it was still there. I loaded the brush not expecting much. I haven't had much luck getting lather out of either drugstore Williams or Classic Shaving pucks. Always thin and watery. But I began to work the brush and BAM! Loads of lather! I love this stuff! Nice cream and good slickness. For the first time since I restarted this a few weeks ago, the first pass would really have been an acceptable "work" shave. Whiskers cut with no pulling or skin drag.
As an added benefit, when I applied the aftershave balm(Nivea) it didn't give me the 15 minute burn I had gotten from the other soaps.

    I highly recommend this soap!

TGQ soaps really are worth the money! Both the cream and the hard soaps work great! My favorites are "Leatherneck" and "Cavendish Black"! Glad you liked them as much as most of us seem to.

As a matter of fact Leatherneck was one of the samples she sent me, along with a seasonal blend (and the other one escapes me). Cavendish black is on my list for sure; as a pipe smoker I don't think I can pass that one up.

To be honest, I am not particularly fond of Leatherneck. It lathered wonderfully, but the scent didn't appeal to me. However, I love all the other ones that I have used!

I am going to use my first TGQ soap tomorrow morning. I can't wait! OLD_SCHOOL sent me a little puck of Lavender with my razor I bought from him a few weeks ago. After checking out the site this morning I was upset that I already shaved!

Anyway, I can't wait to use this stuff. I wanted to order more, but a lot of the scents aren't available!

I guess there is a big demand. That sounds like a good product to me!

    My turn!

My first TGQ sampler came in the mail today, and I'll be shaving with it tomorrow morning (probably Lemon Verbena). I got:
    Soaps:
    Lemon Verbena
    Lime Margarita
    Bay Rum
    Sandalwood and Vanilla
    Desert Ironwood
    Creams:
    Cavendish Black
    Highlander

I also ordered a $10 Kent boar brush because I want a narrow, stiff brush to use with my grandfather's scuttle.

    Here: See for yourself!

TGO soaps are tops with me. I've been using "Highlander" and Savon De Campagne". Both are great scents and the lather is excellent. I waiting for my order from Em's Place, I'm looking forward to trying her soap, aftershave and balm.
