Hi Enry,
Both are neat cremes. Avocado is pretty interesting, but
I like Shaving Shop too. So I suppose you should just get
them both!

I have both, performance wise I don't see a difference. The scents are night and day. Shaving shop is kinda a elegant barber shop smell, very British. Avocado , smells like its namesake but sweetly so. I favor Shaving shop because I like the scent, also have the cologne in this. On most forums shavers seem to favor avocado , there was something of a mystique about maybe due to the belief in its moisturizing .

Thanked: 278I only have the avocado of those 2, and I don't like the smell much. It strikes me as something you wouldn't actually choose to smell. It may be a personal thing, but to me avocados smell like something that has gone off.
Now the almond TOBS I could sniff all day long, and the rose is pleasant too. I have to force myself to use the avocado.

When I last regularly shaved with creams over a year ago, Taylor's Avacado was my favorite by a wide margin. Loved the scent, the cushion, and the slickness.
I don't think I've ever actually used a TOBS soap. But the cream is relatively inexpensive, and is in the absolute top tier of creams I've used, to me anyway. Now I favor soaps because of overall slickness and "tune-ability" during face-lathering. But TOBS Avocado is one cream I'd use again in a minute.
