    depends on the soap and depends on your rinsing. I oftne shower after shaving but before AS. So my scents don't linger. But if I don't shower after and don't give a thorough rinse, they linger enough to mess up a dramatically conflicting AS scent, but no probably if you don't mix say tabac with anything.

    I totally agree that good soap should stand alone. It should lubricate, protect, nourish and if you want it, scent your skin.

    There are products that when used together give a better effect. Proraso products, spring to mind. But to be honest, even then they don't match a "good" soap.

    Just my 2 p's worth
